Beets are a great Lithuanian vegetable. VOne of the more interesting recipes from this autumn vegetable is caramelized beets. They are savory and very tasty, they are prepared very quickly and easily, and they really surprise even the biggest gourmets with their delicate sweetness and aroma. Caramelized beets are suitable not only for steak, but also for a wide variety of salads: with spinach, with horseradish, with feta cheese, with roasted nuts... whatever you want at the moment.

- 100 ml of soy
- 2 tbsp. spoons thyme (suitable dried or fresh)
- 500-700 gr of sugar
PREPARATION
Cut the boiled beets into slices, place them in a tin or pan (the most important thing when preparing the beets is to maintain the maximum temperature so that the liquid part of the ingredients evaporates faster. Do not cover it under any circumstances at that time), add salt, ground pepper, thyme, sugar, add soy, balsamic vinegar and heat on maximum heat (250-300 degrees) for about 1 hour, stirring constantly to prevent sticking, season with freshly salted kampoto pepper: https://www.griliai.lt/products/svieziai-sudyti-kampoto-pipirai-grudeliais-kampot-salted-pepper-40-gr?_pos=1&_psq=%C5%A1vie%C5%BE&_ss=e&_v=1.0
